This is a guest post by John Starratt, who works from home
By no stretch of the imagination am I a marketing expert; I’m a web developer, that’s what I do. But ever since I started working from home a few years ago, I’ve had to expand my skill set in many different directions, and quickly.
Although there are some things I still don’t enjoy very much, like keeping the books and doing taxes, there are other aspects of the business that I really enjoy.
One of the best is thoughtfully creating a comfortable atmosphere to work in. I never really thought much about it before I had my own business, but there is a fine art to creating an environment where you can get work done without too many distractions and in a comfortable manner.
I’ll tell you, one of my very best tricks is brewing a good strong cup of espresso. I don’t know if it’s the caffeine addiction that does it or the smell, or what, but it’s a great addition to my home office. It’s such an easy thing to do and puts me ahead of the game because it seems to help me focus. I highly recommend it for anyone who works from home.
Best Espresso Machine for the Money?
We’ve gone through a couple of different machines, and we finally settled on the Delonghi Magnifica. In my opinion this is the very best automatic espresso machine you can buy for the money.
For my purposes it is important that the machine is automatic, because working from home, I have other things to think about than being a barista.
This machine is clean and fast and it makes an awfully good cup of espresso or cappuccino. .
I if you have a small business and are looking to offer a little something extra, I can whole-heartedly recommend this practice and this machine. It’s worked great for me, and it might just work for you too.
